The Coronavirus has completely remade American and Global life. Want to investigate what's happening and how organizations are dealing with it? Do the Cornell in Washington Summer Term. In this seven-week (remote) term (for academic credit), students will engage with organizations both public and private in Washington and around the world to explore how the pandemic is affecting their work and how they're dealing with it. Students will hear and talk with representatives of the United States Senate, WNYC Public Radio, the National Academy of Public Administration, the Department of Labor, the World Bank, the State Department, and various others to find out how those groups are facing a world remade day to day. Students will choose an organization, analyze their response to the virus, write a brief memo for the organization analyzing that response, and contribute to a podcast series covering the epidemic. The centerpiece of the program is a four-credit course, GOVT 3071.
