  • First Year (undergrad)

  • Cornell Undergraduate Students
  • Non-Cornell Students

GPA Requirements:

Minimum GPA: 3.00

Eligibility:

  • Open to rising sophomores or higher.
  • To enroll, you must be in good academic standing and have the demonstrated intellectual interest and personal maturity to participate in the program.
  • You must also have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the end date of travel (expires after January 6, 2026) and, if necessary, a visa. International students may have limitations based on visa status. Additional guidelines for European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) will be added as more information becomes available. 
  • Participants must be active matriculated undergraduate students at time of participation (i.e., not graduated). If you will not be an undergraduate student at time of participation, you are not eligible to apply.

 

Program will be limited to 20 students. All students applying for this program will be expected to have a brief interview with the Program Director as part of the decision-making process. Interested students contact Cecelia Lawless, the program director, with the following information:

  • The Spanish courses you have taken to date
  • The courses you hope to take in Madrid
  • Your current GPA
