Overview

Opportunity Description

AVAILABLE ONLY TO STUDENTS WHO ARE ALREADY MEMBERS IN RCPRS

RCPRS RESEARCH SUPPORT ACCOUNT – SHORT TERM EXPERIENCES AND CONFERENCES

Rawlings Scholars have access to up to $3,500 to support a research-related experience, provided they are full-time enrolled undergraduates at Cornell and in good standing with the RCPRS program.

Students may apply for funding to support research-related experiences during winter, spring, or summer breaks. Funding for full-time research experiences is available during the summer only.

“Research-related” typically refers to a non-credit bearing experience tied to a pre-established research plan.

The full $3,500 may only be used for long-term experiences (approximately 8 weeks at 35–40 hours per week). For short-term experiences, funding will be pro-rated based on the length of the experience.

The support account may cover reasonable living expenses, including housing, utilities, transportation, food, immunizations, and visas.

Students may submit one application per term (see term dates listed on the right). Applications should be completed after securing a confirmed position or opportunity.

This application is intended primarily for leadership-related experiences happening during the Winter or Spring Break, or for any research-specific conferences, unless otherwise approved by the program director.
