MFCNS LEADERSHIP SUPPORT ACCOUNT - LONG TERM EXPERIENCES

Meinig Scholars have access to up to $3,500 to support an internship and/or a leadership-related experience, provided they are full-time enrolled undergraduates at Cornell and in good standing with the MFCNS program.

Students may apply for funding to support leadership-related experiences during winter, spring, or summer breaks. Funding for internships is available during the summer only.

“Leadership-related” typically refers to giving your time (e.g., volunteering) to make an impact on a group or organization.

The full $3,500 may only be used for long-term experiences (approximately 8 weeks at 35–40 hours per week). Otherwise, funding will be pro-rated based on the length of the experience.

The support account may cover reasonable living expenses, including housing, utilities, transportation, food, immunizations, and visas.

Students may submit one application per term (see term dates listed on the right). Applications should be completed after securing a confirmed position or opportunity.

This application is intended primarily for full-time summer experiences, unless otherwise approved by the program director.
