Class Year Eligibility:

  • First Year (undergrad)
  • Second Year (undergrad)

Open to:

  • Cornell Undergraduate Students
  • Non-Cornell Students

GPA Requirements:

Minimum GPA: 3.00

All applicants should meet the following eligibility criteria: 
  • Available to attend the entire Career Institute: Sunday, August 4th -Friday, August 8th 2025
  • You are a current first- or second-year college student (class of 2027 or class of 2028)
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • FAFSA SAI below 6655 or equivalent 
  • Campus or community involvement 
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States at least through 2028 

LEDA will review every application that is submitted. However, LEDA prioritizes applicants with a FAFSA Student Aid Index under 6655, which is the cut-off for minimum Pell eligibility. If you are not eligible for federal aid, LEDA will ask that you submit a copy of your financial aid award letter, which we will use to determine eligibility.  All LEDA Scholars are eligible for the program, regardless of Pell eligibility. 

The Career Institute is free for students that have been admitted to the program. This includes travel, housing, and meals during the program.
