Overview

Opportunity Description

The ILR Undergraduate Research Fellows Program provides ILR undergraduates with the opportunity to work with a professor during academic year 2024-2025. This program was developed in response to numerous requests we have received from undergraduates for research opportunities and in the hope that it will facilitate one-on-one student/faculty interactions. Students participating in this program will receive an hourly pay of $17 per hour for up to 10 hours a week. Awards will be made on a one semester basis with renewal possible for the second semester. Students may not earn credit for the research project during the semester or year they are being paid as a research assistant.

Organizational Interventions to Alleviate Burnout and Promote Well-Being

The research investigates whether organizational interventions can reduce employee burnout and promote well-being. We are planning to investigate these questions using a randomized field experiment in the setting of veterinarian clinics in the United States. In this randomized field experiment, we will implement interventions at both the individual and organizational levels to reduce worker burnout. We are currently seeking a research assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting literature reviews related to burnout in veterinarian clinics and other healthcare settings and assisting in the preparation of reports based on both news articles and academic research on the topic. The Fellows for this project will be co-sponsored by ILR WIDE. – with Professor Brittany Bond and Professor Duanyi Yang
