Overview
ILR High Road New York is a statewide program that aims to teach ILR students practical methods for civic engagement and leadership through economic justice, evidence-based policy, and strategic development that creates opportunity for community members to share in prosperity. The Summer 2026 New York City (NYC) High Road Fellowship Program will run from June 1st to July 31st, 2026. Students intern in person with various NYC partner organizations and will participate in weekly cohort workshops focused on critical reflection and peer-to-peer collaboration and networking and learning opportunities with guest speakers will be offered at ILR's NYC office on Lexington Avenue. All interns will be paid and need-based subsidized housing will be available.

The Museum of The City of New York is seeking a proactive, energetic Curatorial Fellow who will assist with projects relating to the Museum’s ongoing exhibition Activist New York. The ideal person for this position is adept at historical research and cognizant of current events. Reporting to the Puffin Foundation Curator of Social Activism, the Curatorial Fellow will perform research, writing, and administrative assistance to the organization’s curatorial department. They will assist with object organization and selection of collections materials and exhibition label writing for rotation objects for Activist New York. They will also conduct research of other archives and individual collections as needed while maintaining spreadsheets and other organizational lists relating to exhibitions
Preferred skills:
• Comfort with online database research and in-person archival research
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Interest in nonprofit work, or museum administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new systems
