Finger Lakes Independence Center (FLIC) is a New York State Independent Living Center. They provide services and advocacy for people with disabilities. Its mission is to empower all people with disabilities while creating an inclusive society through the elimination of social and architectural barriers. The FLIC fellow may work on a local plan for an anti-stigma campaign, contribute relevant topic articles for the monthly newsletter, assist with policy research and public comments for legislative advocacy, developing internal policies such as AI use, and other projects. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of disability policies, lived experience or family with disabilities, strong interest in social justice, team-oriented and has the ability to work independently.

The FLIC office is located on 215 Fifth Street, Ithaca, NY.
