National Taiwan University (NTU) is the most prestigious comprehensive university in Taiwan and one of the top ranked universities in the world. Dedicated to excellence and leadership since 1928, NTU has contributed significantly to Taiwan's rapid development into one of the world's most competitive economies and democratic societies.
Over the years, the university has acquired a reputation for academic excellence and cutting-edge research right in the heart of Asia. The university benefits from Taiwan's rich Chinese heritage and strategic regional position, offering initiatives and solutions that bridge East and West.
Students will participate in NTU's Summer+ Research and Culture Program, working on a research project under the mentorship of a NTU faculty member for six weeks during the summer. In addition to the research, you'll be immersed in Taiwan through orientation and cultural activities.
Participating students may conduct research in the following NTU departmental research offices and labs:

- College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
- College of Engineering
- College of Bio-Resources and Agriculture
- College of Life Science
- College of Public Health
- College of Medicine
- College of Liberal Arts
- College of Management
- College of Social Science
Funding
You will receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
