Engagement Activities

Since 2017, our engagement programs have strengthened connections between Cornell University, the Ithaca community, and visiting artists through meaningful educational and cultural experiences. Artist talks, masterclasses, classroom visits, workshops, and community outreach events provide opportunities for students, faculty, and community members to engage directly with performers. These enriching interactions deepen appreciation for the performing arts, inspire learning and creativity, and foster connections that extend well beyond the concert hall.

Our History

For more than a century, we have brought artists of international acclaim to Ithaca, New York. Since 1903, audiences have enjoyed performances by legendary musicians including Fritz Kreisler, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Alfred Brendel, Zakir Hussain, and the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg. While the series began with a focus on Western classical music, it expanded in 1987 with a landmark performance by Indian sitar virtuoso Ravi Shankar. Today, the Dallas Morse Coors Concert Series celebrates an extraordinary range of musical traditions, presenting some of the world's most distinguished artists and ensembles.
