Opportunity Description

Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) Certificates distinguish emerging leaders in evidence-based teaching practices among future faculty. These nationally-recognized certificates attest to various levels of engagement with the CIRTL core ideas: Teaching as research, learning community, and learning through diversity. Offered as part of national initiatives to advance quality teaching in higher education, CIRTL certificates are an increasingly recognizable credential in today’s competitive academic job market.

Participants can achieve three levels: CIRTL Associate, CIRTL Practitioner, and CIRTL Scholar.

Housed in the Graduate School, Future Faculty and Academic Careers, part of the CIRTL Network, prepares graduate students and postdoctoral scholars to excel as teachers, researchers, and mentors. Through the North American CIRTL Network, graduate students and postdocs in all fields can build skills for academic careers.
