Do I need to take TECH 5310 Business Fundamentals to take this course?    

No, you are not required to take TECH 5310 as a prerequisite for this course.

     
Do the credits count towards technical requirements?   

No, the credits earned in this course do not count towards your technical requirements. 

     
I am an Ithaca-based student, can I participate?      

The course is currently only open to Cornell Tech students. 

     
I am a 2nd year Jacobs student, can I participate?    Yes, both first and second year Jacobs students are eligible to participate. 
     
What is the course number for iTrek so I can register for the course?   You will be registered for the course automatically in December. For record, the fall course is registered under TECHIE 5325 for 0.5 credits. The winter course is co-registered as TECHIE 5330 and NBAY 5920 for 1.5 credits. If you have additional questions about the course number or cross-listing, feel free to contact Student Services.
     
How often does this class meet?    The class will officially meet three times during the fall semester to receive materials necessary for their team meetings (see schedule on main page). In addition to these set times, teams are expected to briefly meet weekly for status updates and assigning work to meet milestones. Staff will guide teams to make sure that they are working towards milestones.

How much does it cost to participate?    Pricing update will be available in September, however, it should be around $2,100 per person, not including airfare. Airfare is booked independently and you will receive suggested arrival times. 
     
Am I eligible for Financial Aid?  

Some students might qualify for student loans to help cover the cost of the trip since this is an academic course. You must contact a Financial Aid Officer to find out if you qualify. Johnson students should email financialaid@johnson.cornell.edu. All other students should contact finaid@cornell.edu with "Attn: Ginger."

     
Can I bring a guest with me to Israel?   No, guests are not permitted to travel with the group. 
     
Do I need a visa to travel?    You are responsible for obtaining a toursit visa, if it is required. You can determine if your passport allows tourist visa exemption by visiting here.
     
Do I need to obtain a travel signatures on my I-20 or DS-2019 for reentry into the United States?   In most cases, you will not need to obtain travel signatures on your I-20 to reeneter the United States after the end of iTrek. If you have a travel signature that has been signed within the past year on your I-20 (page 2) and you will return prior to its one year mark of when it was signed, you do not need a new signature. If it has expired or you hold a Canadian passport, please reach out to Student Affairs at studentaffairs@tech.cornell.edu.
