The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - Guangzhou (HKUST - GZ) builds on the academic structure that has made the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology one of the top universities in Asia. 

HKUST - GZ is jointly organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Guangzhou University and compliments the academic offerings of HKUST's main campus in Hong Kong. 

This upcoming summer, HKUST-GZ is offering the Cross-Campus Playshop for Language and Culture Exchange (PLACE) summer camp. More details are available in the 2025 PLACE Brochure.

PLACE brings together students from around the world to explore the culture and innovation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area (GBA), a megalopolis home to 86 million people. As the largest and most populated urban area in the world, the Greater Bay Area represents an annual GDP close to that of Spain. 

Participating in PLACE will enable students to spend the summer blending intangible cultural heritage, civil engineering, innovation and entrepreneurship, and sustainability, connecting ideas from around the world. Watch what fellow international students did as part of PLACE 2025.
