Academics
Students will be automatically enrolled for three required courses:
- European Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management
- Multinational Enterprises in the Global Economy
- Irish History
Students are also required to choose at least two elective courses from a pre-approved list (and no more than three). Possible electives include:
- Leadership & Change Management
- Managing in a Cross-Cultural Environment
- Economics of Public Policy
- Knowledge Management & Innovation
- Sociology of Work
- Business & Global Development
- Behavioral Economics & Public Policy
- Developing Future Leaders
- People at Work
- Economic History
- Industrial Relations Law
- The Future of Work
- Politics of the European Union
- Negotiation & Conflict Resolution
- Globalization
Students will receive a minimum of 12 advanced ILR elective credits for their semester in Dublin + 3 transfer credits for the Irish History course. The grades for the 12 ILR credits will appear on a student's transcript and count toward the Cornell GPA.
Students will automatically fulfill their International & Comparative Labor elective requirement with this program and they can choose an elective course that will fulfill ILR's Quantitative Policy requirement. Please see the program advisor for the list of courses that will fulfill this requirement.
Students must attend the UCD orientation which begins the week before classes start.
