Research on the Nail Salon Industry of New York City – This project consists in applied research on the socio-economic conditions and demographic characteristics of the nail salon workforce in NYC, as well as the economics and structure of the industry. The research results will inform policymaking and organizational efforts, including the creation of a state sectoral board to set and monitor the industry’s labor standards.
