Overview

Opportunity Description

The Worker Institute at Cornell engages in research and education on contemporary labor issues, to generate innovative thinking and solutions to problems related to work, economy, and society. The institute brings together researchers, educators, and students with practitioners in labor, business and policymaking to confront growing economic and social inequalities, in the interests of working people and their families.

The Worker Institute seeks one student fellow for the 2023/2024 academic year to work on a variety of research projects currently underway. The student will support staff researchers by conducting relevant literature reviews, coding qualitative interview data, support in conducting a discourse analysis, support in editing reports (writing bibliography, sourcing citations) and any other relevant work. The Worker Institute has three on-going projects where support is needed. These include the We Rise longitudinal training evaluation, the IATSE Census and the Worker Rights process evaluation for the U.S. Department of Labor. - With Anne Marie Brady
