A Living Wage for Tompkins County

The Ithaca Co-Lab is looking for students to assist in the fight for living wage employment in Tompkins County. Building on our spring 2023 report to the County Legislature, in fall 2023 we will take on the task of calculating and promoting the countywide living wage figure, previously calculated by Alternatives Federal Credit Union, as well as keeping local partners informed on developments in the local labor market. Students will work in partnership with Prof Ian Greer, Tompkins County, Alternatives, the Tompkins County Workers Center, and other community partners to monitor labor market data, calculate the living wage number, and disseminate findings.
