Overview

Opportunity Description

The Center for Applied Research on Work (CAROW) is a hub for collaborative applied research efforts across the ILR School and the university. CAROW connects research on work with the practice of putting it to use, providing a platform for new interdisciplinary approaches, innovative methods, and nimble resourcing with the goal of bringing high quality research to bear on the challenges facing today’s labor markets and connecting that research to external stakeholders and policy makers. Utilizing trainings, convenings, and new tool development CAROW advances the work of faculty and institutes conducting translational labor research and brings them together to drive new insights.

The research fellow will contribute to work at CAROW including literature reviews and translational summaries of faculty work, working on analysis of the Empire State Poll 2025 survey data (a yearly survey of New Yorkers across the state on work, labor, and employment), and other policy memos and briefs. The research fellow will also work on identifying new CAROW projects driven by local, state, and national policy needs and new avenues for research (such as new data releases).
