Remote for Summer 2021

Opportunity Description

The Scheinman Institute is an interdisciplinary center within the ILR School with offices in Ithaca and New York City. As part of its programs, the Institute engages in research, offers a wide range of education and training workshops at its New York City offices, and gives presentations at a variety of relevant national conferences. The Institutes explores current trends and organizational practices impacting labor unions, diversity, equity, and inclusion professionals, and HR practitioners.

This internship opportunity will focus on reviewing and updating research and information related to evolving diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in the workplace. Specific assignments include identifying emerging trends and organizational practices due to COVID, such as remote work, as well as the impact of BLM (Black Lives Matter) and the recent attacks on Asian-Americans. This research will enhance the quality and relevancy of our public and onsite programs and benefit the Scheinman Institute by expanding its reputation as an organization that provides both academic and practical solutions to emerging workplace challenges.
