Host Organization: Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec)
Location: Monterrey, Mexico
Tecnológico de Monterrey (Tec) is a Cornell Global Hubs partner, and one of the largest universities in Mexico. Tec enrolls more than 96,000 students nationwide. Recognized as one of the premier universities in Latin America, Tec offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses within the fields of the built environment, creative studies, business, social sciences, engineering, and health.
Students will have the opportunity to pursue research placements at their campus in Monterrey. While there, you will work on a research project under the mentorship of a Tec faculty member over a four-week period.
As a research intern, you will work with on contemporary research projects designed to create real-world outcomes. Responsibilities will vary, but may include projects in the following investigation areas:
- Applied mathematics
- Artificial intelligence
- Biotechnology
- Data science
- Energy and climate change
- Food science
- Physics and astronomy
- Systems optimization
Funding
You will receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of this award may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
