Requirements
Open to:
- Cornell Undergraduate Students
Diversity and Equity in Nutrition Research Summer Stipend
Required qualifications:
- DNS major (Human Biology Health and Society, Nutritional Sciences, Global and Public Health Sciences) in CALS or CHE
- Underrepresented in extramural scientific workforce (Black or African American, Hispanic or Latinx, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and other Pacific Islanders)
- Research is being done with a Cornell faculty member
- At least one semester remaining at Cornell after the summer
- Research experience must be at least 4 weeks long and 25 hours per week (totaling at least 100 hours for the summer)
Recommended additional qualifications:
- Research is being done with a DNS faculty member
- Release of transcripts and financial aid information
Selection based on:
- Research experience details
- Potential impact of research experience on student’s academic or career goals
- Financial need for funding over the summer
