Opportunity Description

What is unique about this program?

Whether funding a new venture, valuing an asset, quantifying the mechanics of a corporate restructuring, or making astute and informed judgments on international money markets, take the opportunity to examine both theoretical and practical aspects of contemporary finance directly from expert professionals.

Get ahead of the curve. Venture abroad to gain unique hands-on experiences and perspectives from international trading case studies, examine the techniques and strategies of sustainable finance, and explore first-hand the policies and markets of Denmark, Germany, and the UK on Field Studies and Study Tour visits.

What is unique about Copenhagen?

Copenhagen is one of the most livable cities in the world, where locals enjoy a high quality of life in a vibrant capital.  On your way to class, you will be surrounded by a network of walking streets, canals lined with colorful houses, public gardens with castles, and spires dotting the skyline.

Constantly on the cusp of new ideas, the Danish capital is changing the global agenda for sustainability, design, architecture, and food. Yet the locals still embrace their cultural roots and gather to celebrate the queen’s birthday outside her palace every year.  Each neighborhood has a different pulse, all connected by a stream of bikers. Regardless of the weather or season, Copenhageners often enjoy sitting outside, embracing every inch of their city.

How do I choose among programs?

  • See the Office of Global Learning’s “Selecting a Program” page for information on program types and considerations
  • Use the search features on the Experience Cornell  Opportunities page to filter for programs approved by your college, and by particular subject areas
  • Go to the “Get Advice” page for information on drop-in advising hours, scheduling an advising appointment, returned student contacts, and college advisors for study abroad
  • Find out about upcoming events, check out FAQs, and read stories from returned study abroad students

How do I apply?

Applying to study abroad is a two-step process. You may complete both steps simultaneously, but the Cornell approval process must be complete before your program advisor in the Office of Global Learning can submit any approval or nomination to the program.

  1. For Cornell Approval, click on the "Apply" button on this webpage. Applications are approved by the Office of Global Learning on a rolling basis until the application deadline listed on this page.
  2. For Program Admission, complete an external application directly on the program’s webpage, using the link in the “Snapshot” section. (Note: This deadline may be in advance of the general Cornell deadline for approval. Many programs fill by rolling admission.)
