Students from all colleges and majors at Cornell are welcome to apply. This position is for undergraduate students only. The applicant must be a registered Cornell student in Fall 2024; therefore, seniors graduating in May 2024 are not eligible to apply. Students with Federal Work Study (FWS) are highly encouraged to apply. Success in this position will require:

  • Enthusiasm for learning about vegetable production and small farm practices
  • Some experience with farming or working with plants
  • Ability to conduct physical work in an outdoor, field setting
  • Strong work ethic with a demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Collaborative and committed to working closely with other students in a team
  • Ability to develop work plans (daily, weekly, seasonal) and set priorities
  • Experience organizing people and projects and following through to completion
  • Open, responsive and effective communication skills across many audiences (customers, student community, faculty/staff)
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other team members and resolve conflict

Prospective Dilmun Hill Student Managers are encouraged to also apply through the Lund Fellows Program for Regenerative Agriculture. The Lund Fellows Program provides support for one Dilmun Hill Student Manager each year.
