Cost

Billing Overview:

Global Fellows are not billed Cornell tuition during their summer experiences.

Because this placement is based in New York City, students will not incur international travel or visa costs. Fellows will be responsible for meals, transportation within the city, and other incidental expenses, which are included in the overall program stipend.

Financial Support:

Each Global Fellow accepted into the FAO–NYC Program will receive a monetary stipend of approximately $8,500 USD to offset major internship-related expenses, including housing and living costs in New York City.

The stipend is intended to ensure that students can participate without significant financial burden and covers housing, meals, and local transportation for the three-month placement. Fellows should still budget carefully for optional personal expenses.

Accepted Fellows will receive confirmation of their stipend amount in their letter of offer and must set up direct deposit with the Bursar in order to receive funding.

Note: Fellows will receive academic credit for the pre- and post-internship courses but not for the time spent in New York City.
