National University of Singapore (NUS) is a Cornell Global Hubs partner that offers a global approach to education and research. Founded in 1905, it is the oldest established institution of higher education in Singapore.
Cornell students participate in the Summer Engineering Research Internship for U.S. Students (SERIUS) program in NUS's College of Design and Engineering.
The SERIUS program is an eight-week long research attachment within the College of Design and Engineering's departments and centers, including the following:
- Biomedical Engineering
- Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering
- Civil and Electrical Engineering
- Electrical and Computer Engineering
- Engineering Design and Innovation Center
- Mechanical Engineering
A detailed listing of projects is available on the SERIUS website. Projects available in 2026 will be published in October.
Funding
You will receive an award to cover the estimated costs for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
