Overview

Special Fall 20 opportunity for Cornell freshmen to start the academic year with other first year students

Citizens of China; residents of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan

Opportunity Description

Study at a young and deeply international university as you study away from Cornell this fall.  The International Campus of Zhejiang University (ZJU) in Haining, China, was founded in partnership with some of the world's top universities and accepted its first students in 2016. ZJU partners with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Edinburgh to create joint institutes for Engineering and for Biomedical Sciences, respectively. ZJU also has an International Business School and an Institute of China Studies. With a commitment to English instruction, ZJU can be a residential and academic home while you are away from Ithaca.  Cornell students can select a course in the humanities or social sciences to complement their remote Cornell classes.

Highlights

  • Keep on track at Cornell with 12-15 credits online, offered asynchronously
  • Select one from a specialized list of courses in the humanities or social sciences at ZJU Haining International Campus
  • Participate in co-curricular activities with local students and other Cornell students

Housing and Meals

Being part of a living and learning environment is a core, and therefore required, aspect of all study away options.

Arrangements are being finalized and will be updated on this page shortly. Housing will likely be in on-campus dormitories with access to a cafeteria.

Health and Safety

Zhejiang University International Campus follows the coronavirus regulations of the local government in Haining and the Chinese national government.
