Opportunity Description

As you study away from Ithaca this fall, you can still have a residential college experience.  Cornell students can live in dorms at Yonsei University and supplement their Cornell coursework with 1-2 classes alongside Yonsei students.  Enjoy studying at a top international university taking courses in English or Korean, with all the benefits of student life.

Yonsei’s main campus is ensconced in a spacious, picturesque and natural setting located minutes away from the economic, political, and cultural centers of Seoul’s metropolitan downtown. Yonsei has over 5,000 eminent faculty members who are conducting cutting-edge research across all academic disciplines. There are 21 graduate schools, 22 colleges and 120 research institute/centers hosting a selective pool of students from around the world.

Housing and Meals

Being part of a living and learning environment is a core, and therefore required, aspect of all study away options. 

Study Away students at Yonsei University will live in SK International House, a Yonsei dormitory.

Meals are not included by are available at student cafeterias.

Health and Safety

Yonsei University follows the coronavirus regulations of the South Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

Application Process

If you are eligible for more than one study away option, complete an application for your first choice, and indicate your back-up choices.

  1. Use the "Apply" button below to complete Cornell application by July 10, 11:59pm, EDT - late submissions cannot be considered
  2. Once selected,*
    • commit to the study away program by communicated deadline - students who fail to commit by the deadline will have their applications withdrawn
    • Register with Study Away partner**  

*Education Abroad advisors will select applications based on eligibility and availability and will inform students that they are selected July 13-17.

**The link to the partner application will be given to students upon acceptance by Cornell.  Students must follow the study away program's process and timeline to apply for housing and course registration.

While we cannot bring "The Hill" to you, you can share your Cornell spirit with peers as you live and study together.
