The Cornell University Campus Sustainability Office (CSO) is seeking a Women Leaders in Sustainability Fellow (WLSF) who wants to gain experience with employee engagement and change management. This includes creating a strategic sustainability plan for employee engagement, leading sustainability outreach & engagement campaigns, and coordinating collaborative efforts between staff and and faculty.
This position is open to Cornell graduate students for 20-40 hrs/week during Summer 2022, continuing at 10hrs/week through December 2022, with the possibility of extending into Spring 2023. Applications from highly skilled undergraduate candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
This position will work with many dynamic teams, including CSO, Cornell's Sustainability Teams, and departments across campus working on campus sustainability initiatives. The Women Leaders in Sustainability Fellow will develop programs aimed to educate, engage, and empower Cornell employees on a variety of issues, including buildings & energy, purchasing & waste management, food, sustainable events, transportation, quadruple bottom line decision-making, and fostering sustainable behaviors. This includes creating employee training programs, developing employee surveys, supporting new & existing sustainability teams, updating employee resources & certification programs, assisting with organizing the Green Team Summit, and collaborating on special projects with working groups of the Sustainable Cornell Council.

Pay: $17/hour for 20-40 hours/week during the summer, 10 hours/week during the academic year. Includes paid time for professional development and team building.
Location: The Campus Sustainability Office is located on Cornell's Ithaca campus. During the summer, this position can be fully remote with flexible hours. During the academic year, this position will be hybrid with both in-person and remote work. Meetings will be scheduled during business hours: M-F, 9-5pm.
