The Cornell University Campus Sustainability Office (CSO) is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator for STARS Reporting who wants to advance campus sustainability, build project management skills, and oversee data collection & analysis. Cornell University is the only campus in the world to have received a Platinum Rating for three consecutive years for our campus sustainability performance from the global Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS).
The position will begin part-time in late April 2023. This position is open to Cornell graduate students or highly qualified undergraduate students. The ideal candidate will work part-time in the summer at 20hrs/week and continue in the position at 10hrs/week through at least two academic years (2023-2024, 2024-2025).
The Sustainability Coordinator for STARS Reporting coordinates with all university divisions and departments to conduct organizational research and report data on campus sustainability initiatives for Cornell's annual STARS Report. This position will coordinate with key stakeholders and employees across campus to ensure data quality across all categories of collection, including academics, engagement, operations, and planning and administration.

Work Details
Pay: $15/hour for 20 hours/week during the summer, 10 hours/week during the academic year. Includes paid time for professional development and team building.
Location: The Campus Sustainability Office is located on Cornell's Ithaca campus. During the summer, this position can be fully remote with flexible hours. During the academic year, this position will be hybrid with both in-person and remote work. Meetings will be scheduled during business hours: M-F, 8am-5pm.
