Dyson Grand Challenges Impact Internship:
The Dyson Grand Challenges Program team will serve as a liaison between the intern and the internship host. The intern, a student employee of Cornell University, will focus on the outlined duties working with a mentor from Chester's Barn. This opportunity is exclusively available to Dyson undergraduates.
Term:
The internship will take place from June 2nd, 2025 to August 15, 2025. On average, the intern should expect to work 15-20 hours per week.

Chester's Barn: Marketing and Social Media Internship
Internship Purpose:
Chester’s Barn is seeking a creative and driven Marketing Intern to support the mission of enhancing the lives of animals and people through community engagement, fundraising, and storytelling. The intern will help develop and execute a strong digital presence, including managing a social media strategy, website updates, and content creation to enhance brand visibility and community involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, create, and organize a digital presence for Chester's Barn by updating the website with visually impactful content and clear, concise messaging.
- Create and execute a social media plan for the summer, with a detailed content outline.
- Participate in photo and video content shoots to help capture visuals for online presence.
- Maintain a consistent, engaging content strategy by capitalizing on storytelling, catchy headlines, and concise messaging.
- Identify event ideas, fundraising opportunities, and potential grants to support Chester's Barn.
- Participate in fundraisers, animal therapy visits, and barn cleanup days to assist with onsite community events.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in major social media platforms.
- Excellent internet research and content creation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with content management systems and video editing software.
- Passion for animals and a genuine interest in supporting our mission.
