Host organization: The Harvest Fund
Location: Kafue, Zambia
The Harvest Fund is a nonprofit social enterprise working to empower women farmers through microfinance and training in sustainable, climate-smart agricultural practices and technologies, promoting gender equality while helping African women rise from poverty.
Your work as an intern will include program facilitation, event coordination, and grant research and writing. You may contribute to blog posts and social media, take part in media engagements, and interview farmers and other stakeholders through site visits to farms.
The Harvest Fund is looking for interns who possess some academic knowledge of Africa, agriculture, and sustainability and are adaptable to rural areas and rural communities.
Funding
All Global Interns receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
About Us
This internship is managed by the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies and its Institute for African Development Program, part of Global Cornell.
