Overview
Host Organization: Peace Education Hub, University of Sarajevo
Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Peace Education Hub is a research center based at the University of Sarajevo, located in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
As an intern, you will assist with research, communication, and logistics tasks related to various projects underway at the Hub. Past interns have worked on the following:
- Library research in the field of peace education and peace pedagogy (literature review)
- Summer school planning
- Edits of briefs for the website
- Workshop assistance in partnership with a primary school in Sarajevo on language education and peace pedagogy
- Research in the community, including interviews, data collection, and surveys
- A presentation for a university community of students in Sarajevo
Funding
All Global Interns receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
About Us
This internship is managed by the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies and its Reppy Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies, part of Global Cornell.
