GPA Requirements:

Minimum GPA: 3.00


To apply, you must be:

  • A rising sophomore, junior, or senior at Cornell.
  • In good standing academically with a cumulative 3.0 GPA minimum and have no unresolved disciplinary charges or sanctions.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the time of the internship.


Students must be able to commit to working full time for the duration of the internship. Interns are not permitted to hold other full-time jobs. Selected interns must participate fully in pre-departure and post-internship sessions. Completion of required reflections and evaluations.

Interns are required to complete a mid-internship survey and a concluding reflection and evaluation survey. Final commitments from students offered internships are required by March 31, 2024. On April 13, you will receive an orientation and training for the internship.

Student should have: 

  • Education: coursework in Southeast Asian Studies, and/or Cambodia, preferred. 

  • Experience and interest in research and writing

  • Interest in library work

  • Eager to gain working experience in an NGO and multicultural working environment

  • Desire to perform community and non-profit work 

  • Ability to work in a team and independently, with attention to detail and quality

  • Open-minded, creative, and willing to learn more.

  • Can read and write Khmer Language is an additional asset.
