Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador is the oldest and most prestigious private universities in Ecuador. It has a diversity of students that come from different regions of the country and from quite different economic, social, and cultural backgrounds.
You'll work on campus in this research assistant internship, working on comparative regional analysis of Indigenous social movements and their influence in law-making and law implementation. You'll have weekly meetings, summarize articles, draft reports, proofread other teammates’ papers, contact relevant stakeholders, and organize interviews in Spanish and English.
Funding
All Global Interns receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
