Location: Kumasi, Ghana
Founded on the principle of providing quality and affordable healthcare for all, regardless of socio-economic background, OKB Hope Foundation reduces healthcare problems in rural and underserved communities by bringing medical care to the doorsteps of local communities in Ghana.
OKB's mobile medical van is equipped with multiple point-of-care diagnostics and medical supplied and seasoned healthcare providers that visit underserved and remote areas. The van ensure that individuals in these communities have access to essential healthcare services.
Bring your interest in global health, biology and society, and public health to this internship. You'll provide support to OKB as they provide whole health assessment and medicine for life-threatening conditions such as hypertension and diabetes to local communities.
Funding
All Global Interns receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
