Eligibility:

To apply, you must be:

  • A rising sophomore, junior, or senior at Cornell.
  • In good standing academically with a cumulative 3.0 GPA minimum and have no unresolved disciplinary charges or sanctions.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the time of the internship.

Requirements:

You should have experience in teaching English as a second language, knowledge of the Spanish language (intermediate or high level), and knowledge of teaching strategies and dealing with young people in the rural sector.

Students must be able to commit to working full time for the duration of the internship. Interns are not permitted to hold other full-time jobs. Selected interns must participate fully in pre-departure and post-internship sessions.

Interns are required to complete a mid-internship survey and a concluding reflection and evaluation survey. Final commitments from students offered internships are required by March 31, 2024. On April 13, you will receive an orientation and training for the internship.
