The School of Cultural Texts and Records is Jadavpur University's pioneering center in archiving, digitization, bibliography, textual studies, as well as book and journal publication. Its activities extend to text, image and music archives, oral histories, and audiovisual records.
As a digital humanities intern, you will assist with projects on sound recording and preservation, modern Bengali-language manuscripts, Hindustani classical music, comic books in Bengali, and other ongoing projects.
Funding
All Global Interns receive an award totaling at least $3,000 for airfare, transportation, and living expenses. A portion of the stipend may be paid directly to the in-country host to support housing, food, and local transportation.
