Life in the United States--Communicating Across Cultures
A program for students, scholars, and visitors
This non-credit course is for those seeking improvement in basic English-language skills with special emphasis on proficiency in spoken English.
It features conversational activities, interactive presentations, and discussions to give students practice in speaking, pronunciation, and listening skills.
Reading and grammar activities reinforce vocabulary and conversational skills. And field trips provide students with opportunities for discussion with native English speakers and insight into American culture and history.
This course is taught by David George, who has more than 25 years' experience teaching English to international students and scholars.
