Dyson Grand Challenges Impact Internship:
The Dyson Grand Challenges Program team will serve as a liaison between the intern and the internship host. The intern, a student employee of Cornell University, will focus on the outlined duties working with a mentor from NAMI Finger Lakes. This opportunity is exclusively available to Dyson undergraduates.
Term:
The internship will take place during Cornell University's summer break, lasting approximately12 weeks. The exact start and end dates are flexible. On average, the intern should expect to work 10-15 hours per week.

NAMI Marketing and Social Media Internship
Internship Purpose:
The Marketing and Social Media Intern is responsible for developing a NAMI compliant marketing and social media strategy with the current NAMI FLNY staff and for creating & posting content to support the marketing plan.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Learn the guidelines for NAMI marketing in regard to color, logo and content boundaries.
- Learn about the marketing/social media planning capabilities of Captivation Hub and present to staff for determination of use or not use.
- Gain access to our existing social media accounts and create others you think we should have
- Follow other NAMI affiliates for content ideas, strategies and educational classes we might want to promote.
- If desired, create relationships with other NAMI marketing teams for collaboration, content ideas or networking.
- Create a general marketing and social media strategy for NAMI Finger Lakes.
- Execute strategy, make adjustments, finish the internship with a recommendation for going forward.
- Interview and create quote images, video clips and other story featured content to be used in the future of NAMI marketing.
- Take primary responsibility for the marketing for events: this will include: press releases, social media blasts, boosted content, flier distribution, etc.
- Create content for the 2025 NAMI Dessert Gala to be used later in the year.
Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Strong recommendation from faculty or a NAMI board member/volunteer
- Enrolled in an applicable degree program
- Experience with utilizing social media
- Ability to work within teams in collaboration, planning and implementation
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse staff, volunteer and member population
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Canva (our preferred place to create content)
- Strong connection to the mental health field with lived experience
- Experience with square space
- Experience with Sender.net
