Students are billed their regular CALS/Dyson tuition, with no added administrative fees. This is especially advantageous for in-state students. "Out of pocket costs" such as housing, food, visa, travel, health insurance, books, and other personal expenses are paid directly by the student. The Office of Global Learning prepares an individual estimated budget at the end of the semester prior to studying abroad. The estimated budget includes costs that will appear on your bursar bill as well as estimated out-of-pocket costs. The Office of Global Learning will send the estimated budget to you and to your parent or guardian if you have opted to share their email as part of the application. Eligible students receive financial aid when they study abroad. The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) remains the same, and aid is adjusted according to the higher or lower costs of the program. The work component for the semester(s) abroad is converted to a loan.
