What is unique about this program?

Copenhagen Business School (CBS) is the largest business school in Northern Europe with 22,000 full- and part-time students. CBS teaches the traditional courses in Economics, Management, and Business Administration but is also well known for their cross-disciplinary research and teaching. Students can combine business studies with philosophy, political science, psychology, commercial law, or communication.  CBS is ranked as one of the world's top universities for business and management.  Each year, CBS welcomes 1,200 exchange students and strives to give their international students a well-rounded, supportive environment in which to thrive and to learn.

What is unique about Copenhagen?

For a number of years, Copenhagen has ranked high in international surveys for its quality of life. Although it is one of the world's most expensive cities, it is also one of the most livable with its public transport, facilities for cyclists and its environmental policies. Copenhagen has one of the world's most dedicated bike cultures and plans to become the first carbon-neutral capital by 2025. Already now, the city has more bicycles than people. In elevating Copenhagen to "most livable city" in 2013, Monocle pointed to its open spaces, increasing activity on the streets, city planning in favor of cyclists and pedestrians, and features to encourage inhabitants to enjoy city life with an emphasis on community, culture, and cuisine.

How do I apply?

Applying to study on an exchange program is a two-step process. The Cornell approval process must be complete before your program advisor in the Office of Global Learning can submit your nomination to the exchange partner.  Exchanges may have limited spaces, so early applications are encouraged.

  1. For Cornell approval and nomination, click on the "Apply" button on this webpage. Applications are approved by your college and the Office of Global Learning on a rolling basis until the application deadline listed on this page, or earlier, if filled.
  2. Once nominated by Cornell, complete an external application specifically for exchange students Schools typically admit the students nominated by exchange partners, but you must complete this process for them to review your application and offer you a place.
