Qualifications:

  • Coursework, independent research, or other experience related to or experience in social sciences, economics, international relations, politics or management of fisheries/ecosystems/natural resources.
  • Must show interest in the central themes of the project, as well as in the interaction with people from the various sectors mentioned as key.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be well organized, motivated, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and have the ability to work independently when projects are due.
  • Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the Spanish language is essential, as well as excellent writing skills in both English and Spanish.

Location: Remote

Term
: 10weeks

Hours: Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Compensation: This internship will be fully funded through Cornell Atkinson; a
$5,250 stipend is provided.

To be eligible, Cornell students must be returning to Cornell for the Fall 2022 Semester.
