What is unique about this program?
Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is Israel’s premier center of science, technology and applied research. Ranked among the top 50 technology universities in the world, Technion is home to 18 faculties, and over 60 advanced research centers and institutes, and a distinguished faculty of over 600, including three Nobel laureates. Technion graduates have brought the unique skills and penchant for innovation which contributed to Israel's reputation as the “Start-Up Nation.”

- Option to take Intensive Hebrew Language course (Ulpan) prior to start of semester and/or Hebrew throughout the semester for an extra fee

What is unique about Haifa?
A major industrial port city on the Mediterranean, Haifa has also become a home to high-tech spinoffs from the Technion University. With the only underground rapid transit in the country, moving around the city is easy.
The third largest city in Israel, Haifa is best known for the co-existence of Israeli Arabs and Jews and the beautiful Bahai World Center. Haifa's roots as a settled city on the slopes of Mount Carmel date at least 3,000 years. Over the years, Haifa has been ruled by Phoenicians, Persians, Hasmoneans, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, Ottomans, British, and Israelis.

How do I apply?
Applying to study abroad is a two-step process. You may complete both steps simultaneously, but the Cornell approval process must be complete before your program advisor in the Office of Global Learning can submit any approval or nomination to the program.
- For Cornell Approval, click on the "Apply" button on this webpage. Applications are approved by the Office of Global Learning on a rolling basis until the application deadline listed on this page.
- For Program Admission, complete an external application directly on the program’s webpage, using the link in the “Snapshot” section. (Note: This deadline may be in advance of the general Cornell deadline for approval. Many programs fill by rolling admission.
